This 1,900 sq ft residence celebrates a partnership that began in 2017. Following our previous work on their mid-level west apartment, the clients returned to us after securing their long-awaited "dream house"—a property they had admired for years. This project is a refined evolution of a decade-long creative bond, tailored for a family of four.
The heart of the home is an expansive, light-filled living and dining sanctuary that dissolves the boundaries between interior and exterior. Framed by wide bifold doors that open to a verdant balcony, the space is anchored by a selection of organic forms: a curvilinear bouclé sofa and ethereal washi paper pendants that cast a soft, moon-like glow over the dining area. The palette is a masterclass in tonal restraint, featuring warm sand-colored walls and meticulous oak joinery that conceals modern complexities behind a rhythmic, minimal facade.
The four-bedroom layout is further choreographed to support the evolving rhythms of a growing family, including a dedicated study for piano and reading—a contemplative retreat. From the textural richness of the tactile rugs to the disciplined proportions of the bespoke shelving, every element manifests as a sanctuary where a decade of family aspirations and architectural integrity elegantly intertwine.
